Almighty God- Part 2

Almighty God- Part 2

Who Is Allah?

Who is God? This is probably one of the most intriguing questions frequently raised by mankind.

But then who is more qualified to tell us about God than the God Almighty Himself?

The Islamic understanding of God is distinct from all other religions and forms of beliefs since it is based on a pure and clear understanding of monotheism.

Allah says in the Quran,
(The meaning of which is)

“Know, therefore, that there is none worthy of worship but Allah” (Quran 47:19)

This verse clearly commands the believer to know his Creator well enough to ensure that he does not fall into worshiping false gods. Out of His Supreme Mercy Almighty God also ensures that His worshiper has sufficient and accurate knowledge of Him.

First and foremost the worshiper must understand that God is not a created being or any part of the creation.

Allah can never be compared to His creation.

Allah says in the Quran: ((The meaning of which is)

“There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the
Seeing”. (Quran 42:11)

“And there is none like unto Him.” (Quran 112:1-4)

Islam firmly distinguishes the believer’s worship from anything that he could possibly bring about from his own creative imagination or of any similarity in the entire universe to the One True God.

This however does not in any way mount that God is a mystery and is unknown, as worshipping an unknown god also totally defeats having true knowledge of God.
